Chapter 8

“So whats our next moves!” Arnav asked Khushi ready to solve the case. “Our move, no your not getting involved I can do this myself” screeched Khushi back at him scrunching her eyebrows together.

Arnav could swear the more she resisted she looked so hot in that silky black dress of hers, her hair messed up and this adorable fiery look on her face. Oh how the ASR in him wanted to just smooch those tight lips of hers. But ASR would have to wait Arnav wasn’t budging from here. “Why not, you’re my friend I cant just leave you alone like this can I” he said to her in his friendly tone.

She held his hands in hers, the colors on her face now changing to a plea “Arnav please these people are dangerous, you cant get involved”

“then what’s a girl like you doing with these dangerous people” he asked her in the same soft voice, holding her hands even tighter.

Khushi turned to hide her face touching the bite marks on her neck “I have my reasons” she said in a cold voice. “And I have my reasons too” replied back Arnav. “Lets not waste time Khushi, this ASR I don’t know what you have to do with him and I wont ask for now. But we have a problem in our hands”

At this point Khushi nodded and said “Yes, Well your right” she walked towards the vault doors and started to inspect the scene of the crime. Arnav keenly watched her. Tapping on bricks she was finding for some kind of clue.

After what seemed for 5 mins  Arnav asked “Uh Khushi!” she looked at him “What are you doing” he asked her all confused.

“Oh I am searching for some clues.” Came her patt reply. “You see its impossible for the money to disappear from the casino vault  from the outside. This is done from the inside” she explained. “Right and how can you be sure of that.” He asked her to confirm her theory.

“The security outside was heavy I saw Akash settle it all myself. It was impossible to get past the guards and not trigger the secrete alarm especially installed today. I was there when Akash did it.”

She was walking around and without even realizing she tripped at with a reflex Arnav jumped out to save her and she was in his arms the very next second. Both looked back at each other their eyes glued to one another and all Arnav could do is just look back into her eyes. Their hearts pumped higher, but before Khushi could look back into his eyes he quickly made her stand up. He couldn’t let Khushi look into them for obvious reasons.

In a minute he heard her say “Arnav look!” they both looked towards each other. There was a loose tile. “Help me” she said picking it up. “Khushi leave it, you will hurt yourself” he yelled back taking the heavy slab from her hands. “Nonsense I am not that delicate” she defended herself and he smirked they both picked it up and placed it on the side, and to their surprise there was a tunnel.

Khushi started to climb the steps inside as Arnav followed her “Its so dark” she said coughing. “Khushi, Careful, you’ll get hurt” he showed concern for her. “Here hold my hand” Arnav asked her to do so and as she was about to get to him she could here footsteps. It was so dark and dusty that she could barely see a thing, to top it all she was in this dress and was scared she would trip. She had to rely on her ears, but for some odd reason she could here some fighting. “Pow” came the punch noise. “Arnav” she screamed a hand touched her shoulder. “Arnav!” she shouted louder this time. Only to here some kicks “Khushi run!” she heard Arnav yell back “She ran towards the vault but they had come a long way.

“Arnav, where are you” she asked in a scared voice. There was silence once again. “Arnav answer” she was walking along when she almost tripped and fell into Arnav who was on the floor. She could feel his face with her hands and she had no idea what happened. Tears dripping down her eye her voice shaking “Arnav!”

She regained herself she could hear a few more footsteps “Who are you!” she asked once more there was a pause of silence “Sweet heart” came that familiar voice, her heart stopped for nearly a second it was as if someone pulled the floor from under her. She knew that voice. Getting up she could feel some movement.

“Forgot me so soon! Kitten” her heart still pounding with fear with love with revenge. “A..A.. ASR” Khushi could only manage to say that in her scared voice. Within a few seconds she could feel her body slam on the cold walls of the tunnel she was tightly plastered to a human form. Passionate kisses down her neck “Good Job Kitten!” he said biting her soft creamy skin. “You solved the theft” he whispered in her ears, brushing his unshaven cheeks on her soft ones. Khushi could only shut her eyes. Her heart in overdrive. “You set this up?” she asked him in a soft voice, while he still kissed her his mouth now touching the exposed nipples of her breasts. He bit on the right one to confirm it. Khushi held onto him. Her arms slowly looping around his waist.

“Why?” came the next question? “Isnt it obvious” he said while sucked on the heavy bosoms. “I want to test you” came the pat reply. She could still feel kisses down her neck. She pushed him to the other side of the tunnel. Anger sieging her she burst out all her fury “Leave me!” she said in an angry tone.

He started to laugh filling her back into her arms once again. “Kitten why the temper” he said in his sultry whispering voice, reeking with mystery. “I have barely even begun!” he said. “ASR!” she shouted back at him “I hate you!” Khushi screamed back at him. She could her him chuckled even louder this time as his hands slipped down to hold her bum.

All Khushi could do is stare at the pitch black darkness in utter shock “Why.. Why are you laughing?” she asked him directly. After a few seconds he answered “If you hate me so much then why do you shut your eyes every time I kiss you.” Came the pat reply and all Khushi could do was stare dumbstruck.

She had no clue herself as to why she shuts her eyes when he kisses her or why her heart beats or why she forgets that she has to take revenge from him. Barely did she have any time to recover from their last encounter that now she had to deal with his one as well. She had no time to think.

“Clueless Kitten!” he pushed kissed her once more. “I’ll tell you why you feel for me” he said in his dark mystery breath “You secretly love me don’t you?” Khushi,s eyes flew open that same second. “Love you! Never. I hate you. You killed my uncle. You hurt my friend.” She said in a sad voice.

“He is alive.” ASR said and he could hear Khushi take a sigh of relief. “Such love for this new man!” ASR crooned in jealousy. “Arnav is my friend. Don’t you dare hurt him.” Khushi warned ASR. At this point his heart started to really beat faster seeing her protectiveness over Arnav.

But not showing it he had to make her believe ASR and Arnav were to separate people “Well don’t get too close to him, my pet!” “I can I will. ASR you are not the boss of me!” she yelled back in irritation this time. “I’ll do as I please” her temper rose so high that in her anger she again screamed. “Akash is my friend too. What you going to do about it!”

ASR held her tighter Khushi could almost feel her body press against his this time. His anger rose, all this while he was playful but on hearing Akash’s name he just lost it. Her heart beat faster and faster and so was his. “Your mine!” he yelled out as he kissed her lips. This time the kisses were so possessive they were a sign of jealousy.  He bit her lower lip “Mine, You belong to me” He yelled again. She never expected ASR to loose his cool over this. “No other man can dare to look at you. Khushi your mine” his temper rose. Khushi had seriously no idea what button she pressed off his but he was mighty angry and she had to calm him down. Somewhere in her heart she felt guilty for using Akash’s name.

Without even thinking she hugged him tightly. Her soft arms wound over his back and he dug his face on her bare shoulder. She could feel her heart connect with his as she rubbed his back she calmed him slowly and steadily. It was all a reflex action.

Silence filled the room as she shut her eyes, holding him tight. She could feel him kiss her once more on her lips. This time calm they felt soft once again. She just got lost in him as he kissed her so passionately so deeply.

After what felt like a few seconds. He crooned in her ear again. “Kitten” her heart beat sunk. “Hmm”  “Your mine” he said in a low voice. “hmm” and that’s all she managed to say.

He kissed her neck one last time and before Khushi could even react he was gone. She was once again left in the dark with a million questions in her mind.
