Chapter 7

Akash ran towards the same corridor and saw Khushi standing there in this mess. He came up to her and held her arms tightly “Are you okay” Khushi could feel his fingers press tightly on her. This wasn’t the same touch that she felt before when ASR held her. One thing was for sure that she could say after this incident Akash and ASR were not the same people. ASR was just different snapping out of her thoughts she could still feel Akash holding her. She freed herself and just nodded politely “Yes I am fine” she said in a soft voice.

Akash “You don’t look fine to me. You look…” “I look what…?”  asked Khushi defending herself “You look like someone just did you” Akash smirked at her. Khushi’s eyes filled with anger she said “Nonsense I just tripped over in the dark on my dress. Anway Akash tell me why are you here aren’t you suppose to be in the party”

“There has been a robbery in the casino vault I was going to check on it when I bumped into you. Besides I was going to ask you what are you doing here” Akash turned the tables back onto Khushi… Who had to now start composing herself  “I had gone to the rest room, You can ask Maria I informed her as well” Akash gave her a suspicious look.

From behind an unknown man came towards them and said “Akash quit chattering around. ASR is going to be very angry with all this.” Akash followed one of the other men to the vault and Khushi touched her lips thinking of ASR. There was a lot that happened but for now she really had to compose herself and get back in the game. She had to solve this bank robbery problem because this is the only way she would get into the Organisation.

She walked into the room and looked at the three unknown men standing around with Akash. Khushi composed herself and stood in the corner trying understand what exactly happened

“Everyone was so engrossed in the performances that we didn’t have a clue of when they broke into the casino vault, how they dislocated the alarms and how did they even get out.” Said Akash all confused and in a bad mood.

“Its obvious they escaped when the lights tripped out so no one could see them” said Ashok

“But one thing is for sure ASR is not going to be happy about this. He is going to murder you Akash for the money stolen.”

“Indeed he will, ASR has caught wind of what has happened and is very displeased with the whole situation. He has asked me to pass off a message to you Akash and that is that you have only 2 hours time to fix the problem he doesn’t want to loose the deal with the Spanish clients at any cost”

banging his fists to the wall he screamed “you have got to kidding how will I solve this problem in two hours. I don’t even know where to start from”

“You should have thought of it and made the arrangements, Alfred I am just saying I think the hotel responsibility is too much for Akash to handle ” Said Kunde in a taunting voice.

Akash went to strangle him “Don’t you there Kunde keep your eyes off my turf”

All the remaining men in the room held Akash and Kunde to break the fight up . Khushi intervened at this point. “Akash I think I know what happened how this break in happened.”

All eyes turned to her and she was nervous but her posture should calmness as they all watched over her. “You, Who are you, Don’t you know that this is not a place for a lady.” Said Ashok.

“Excuse me Sir, I highly doubt I am too take instructions from you. As far as me being a lady is concerned there is nothing that women cant do that men can we are equal at everything. Now if you don’t mind I would like to talk to my boss.”

Khushi said in a rough voice shocking everyone including ASR who was keenly watching the whole incident from a far distance. She really was a feisty kitten he thought to himself.

“Akash, who is this new Firecracker who is down your ally” Said Ashok in a mocking tone. ASR wrinkled his eyes together in irritation. After his little conversation with Khushi his feelings for her rose to a different level more of protectiveness. He had branded her as his. So what if she wanted to take revenge that’s exactly why he wanted her. He still remembered those very same eyes of hers when he first saw her when she was only 10 and he was 17. Those big brown innocent eyes of hers he knew some day their paths would cross.

Khushi was in the underworld to take revenge from him and that was for his personal amusement, his personal reason. He knew well enough that for a girl like Khushi to be part and exposed to such a dangerous profession was really scary; she would be dealing with creeps like Ashok and Akash all the time. This is not done. He thought to himself. Unable to let any harm come to her he simply came forward.

“Friend” came a chirpy voice from behind. They all turned behind to see who it was, Khushi squealed in shock “Arnav what are you doing here” she ran to him holding her dress a bit high making sure she doesn’t trip. “Well remember I told you I lost my job, well yeah I kind off got a new one.” He said pointing to his uniform and the tray in his hand with the glass of vine. Khushi nodded in surprise “So you’re a waiter”. He smiled at her and nodded “And you’re a detective” came his pat reply. She chuckled at him “No no I am an assistant that’s my boss Akash. I am only helping him solve this theft case” she said relived to see someone who she could trust.

Akash getting more and more annoyed said “Khush you can chit chat with the help later. We have a big problem on our hands. I am going to be in trouble if I cant retrieve the money ASR is going to kill me”

On hearing ASR’s name Khushi instantly touched her lips and Arnav noticed it and raised his right eyebrow at her amused. Khushi on the other hand started to think ASR was with her when the lights got killed she was sure of it and the robbery took place when he was there. He has surely planned this and she knows it. Its test to see what she is capable off one step closer to the devil himself. Her head started to churn. She looked at Akash and said “Akash, I think you should go and attend the guest and give me around an hour I will solve this for you.”

“What can you possibly do” said Aman all concerned “Something. I know one thing for sure that this robbery is a trap some kind of a puzzle, I request you guy you should go out and handle the situation with the guests and we will take care off the scene here” Khushi said in a determined voice.
