Chapter 5

It was a dark and stormy night. ASR stood at the edge of the railing as he watched the waves of the Arabian sea crash into the rocks at the Sasoon docks. A man walked in with a black book. He was dressed in a crisp black blazer and looked like a gentle man. In a stern voice he said. “ASR!”

ASR still facing the sea, watching the waves. He said in a smug voice. “Khushi! Toms girl, she is in town.”

“Yes I heard, We tried to cover information on her but it seems back in Panjim, people didn’t really know her name as Khushi they knew her as Chutki, That’s what Tom called her. There are no photographs of her, and we have no idea how she looks. She could be anybody, This could cause a problem for the organization.” Alfred said concerned

  

“Light eyes brown hair, lips as red as a rose and fair skin like milk, she is 5’5 in height her waist is 28 she wears black. She ties her hair in a pony tail and has the most adorable laugh. Under her shirt she carries a pistol that is taped to her tummy” ASR’s tone so harsh.

Alfred had no clue how he knew about Khushi’s description. “How do you know all this.”

“She lives in Akash’s territory in his hotel, she works for him as his assistant, Akash doubted her to be Tom’s girl and sent Pakya to follow her all day. But Khushi was smart enough to make him believe that she was not his girl but just an ordinary girl who happened to be in the city of  dreams to look for a job.”

“ASR, I am confused how do you know all this and if you know so much about her then why aren’t you finishing her off she can be trouble for us and the organization.” Alfred again repeated himself

ASR turned around his eyes sizzled with passion as he spoke. “No, I don’t want to finish her off, I want to lead her on. She wants ASR, ASR is what she will get. Khushi has no idea what she is about to get into. Besides she was Toms niece and she thinks he is innocent and I am the devil. I regret Tom death as well. Part of who I am is because of Tom. I didn’t order those men to shoot him. It was an imposter who shot him using my name to frame me for the whole thing. I didn’t react to this news because I know one of my enemies have done this to get me out of my cover and into the light.” ASR explained his thought process

“But with Khushi snooping around the place, what if she ever finds out any information about the organization” Alfred asked him.

“I want her to get into the organization, she has the map to the treasure and I have every intension of getting it out. But that’s not my real motive. I want her around for my personal reasons. Besides I have to say I am having fun I want to see how capable she is. She is out to seek revenge from me, lots of people tried and all failed I want to see what this kitten can do. Alfred this is going to be exciting and fun. I want you to do me something.”

“ASR, I hope you know what your doing. You know I only want what’s best for you. ” Alfred said in a low voice.

There was a pause for a second and then ASR said “Alfred, this girl is the key to the my life’s puzzle, trust me I know what I am doing. I want you to cause a robbery in the hotel casino, I want to test Khushi I want to see what will she do.” ASR explained.

“A robbery, but how will that help?” Alfred asked “Its simple if she is smart enough she will impress Akash by solving the riddle and finding the money which means she will gain recognition into the organization, I want to see what she does” ASR smirked

“Yes ASR” Alfred said and walked away from the docks.

ASR smirked “Khushi!”

Meanwhile, in an empty room on that same stormy night Khushi shut the window that was creaking because of the wind, She sat on the bed in deep thought. Today was her second day here in . She had to impress Akash to get access into the organization.   Also she needed to find out about the rest of these people who were in the organization but how? This was not going to be easy she thought to herself.

The dark sky soon filled with light marking the morning. Khushi was up and ready t go fight her battle. A new day a fresh start she had to get to complete her mission and todays mission was to impress Askash.

As she walked into her office she saw a group off men leave the hotel conference room. Akash shook hands with them smiled and they left, something was fishy. Who were these men she thought. Akash walked towards her and her expression from a serious one changed to a pretentious smile. “Good morning Akash” she said in her sweet voice. Akash gave her a perverted, which Khushi tried her level best to ignore. “Hello Khushi, you were just the person I was looking for.” Khushi nodded “Tell me what could I help you with”

“Right I just had a meeting with the management and the trustees. Tonight there is going to be a mascaraed party at the Royal casino, we would have a guest of honor who is coming from Spain. Mr Pablo Sigaro. He is here in Goa with his mistress Mrs Camila Ivana. I would like you to please look over all the arrangements. If Mr Pablo likes our casino he would invest all his money on the spot, so we have to impress him. Its good business. That’s why we have a party in his honor today” explained Akash.

“Okay Akash I would get right to it.” She said leaving to make arrangements to help the hotel staff. She was working with a bunch of waiters setting the napkins when one of them started to say “Did you know this party is a big deal for the casino” “yes I heard, the Spanish guy is an investor” said another. Khushi didn’t indulge much in the conversation. “Oh no not because of the Spanish guy, There is a rumor.” Spoke the third one. “What kind of rumor”  asked one of the ladies who was folding the napkins up. “Khushi you must be knowing you work directly under Akash sir”

Khushi who was in deep thought snapped out of it and said in a confused voice. “No I don’t know of anything. I was briefed the same as you.”

One of the waiters said “Well then we must update you, It is said this party is really important because ASR is coming as well”

“What!!” Screeched Khushi her heart beating fast ASR was coming when, and how come she didn’t know. OMG ASR was coming to this party and she knew this now like so late. “Breath Khushi Breath.” She told herself taking a deep breath to compose herself, she counted till 5 and opened her eyes. “ASR, you say and who is this ASR” she asked in a calm voice trying not to react.

“ASR! How can you not know who ASR is?” asked one of the waiters. “Well I am kind of new here how would I know” Khushi acted unknown so no one would doubt her intensions. “Well then let me update you once again. ASR is the owner of this hotel and is the owner of a large wide spread mafia gang.”

“We would for a drug lord a mafia.” Khushi said with smug expressions. The lady touched her face “I am afraid so love, yes we do.” Khushi wanted to know what the common people thought of ASR so she asked “so how come we don’t see this ASR, I mean he never visits the hotel” she said in a confused voice. “he doesn’t visit anywhere he is suppose to be a myth. Unreal who knows. But tonight will be big if he comes” Khushi was about to ask a few more questions when a sharp voice came from behind. “Mindless chit chat I see, don’t you have work to do” It was Akash.

“Sorry sir.” Said one of the waiters and carried on to the work. Khushi looked the other way when Akash ina stern voice again said “Khushi come with to my cabin I need to speak to you” Khushi nodded and followed him behind.

As they entered the cabin he sat down and Khushi thought to herself what does he want, She didn’t want to deal with Akash right now if indeed ASR was coming she could seek revenge tonight she couldn’t just face him without a plan. Too many things in her head. Until suddenly she herd Akash’s voice “Khushi are you listening to me” Huh! Yes sorry I was just… anyway tell me what is it that I can do for you” she said softly

“For starters you can have a seat” Khushi sat down on the chair opposite him and Akash got up slowly circling around her he placed his hands on her shoulder and bent down and whispered in her ear. “It would be best if you concentrate on your work ” Khushi could feel the filth in his voice. She pushed the chair and got up startling Akash the very fact that he could come so close to her was annoying her so much. “Your right I shouldn’t be involved in mindless chatter. I will get back to work.” She said and left from there. Akash had no idea how to react to what just happened but Khushi was feisty. One day he would have her he smirked.

Khushi walked back to her room in a hurry unable to digest what happened. Akash’s closeness bugging her was a small factor the bigger question is ASR.

She quickly stood under the shower to get rid of Akash’s touch and regroup her thoughts. Tonight was a big night and she had to figure out a plan.
